👤 Job type: Live-in domestic worker with companionship
📍 Location: Mérida, Badajoz (Extremadura)
👫 Household members: Elderly couple, both in good health and currently independent.
🐕 Pets: No pets. Occasionally a neighbour's cat passes by the area.
🕒 Days and hours: Live-in regime, Monday to Saturday half-days. The person may reside in the house on their days off.
📅 Start date: As soon as the right person is found.
💼 Duties: General household management, including cleaning, organisation and tidying, laundry, ironing and home meal preparation. Companionship for the couple in their daily activities, especially for shopping, errands and transportation when necessary. Currently both are independent and drive, so specific dependent care is not required, although the family seeks a person who can provide them with progressive support as they grow older. Very occasionally, when grandchildren visit the home, some support with childcare may be needed.
✅ Requirements: Previous experience in domestic service and experience working with independent elderly people is valued. Spanish language skills are essential to communicate properly with the couple. Seeking a responsible, caring, patient, pleasant, organised, resourceful and trustworthy person who can manage a household independently and enjoys the companionship of elderly people. Driving licence and regular driving experience highly valued, as they may progressively be responsible for accompanying the couple on their outings. Good references and valid work permit required.
💰 Salary: From €1,300/month in 14 bonus payments depending on experience and skills.
