👤 Position: Live-in Nanny / Family Support
📍 Location: Campos, Mallorca (Baleares), with stays in the Netherlands.
👫 Household members: 2 adults and 3 children. The children are currently 5 years old, 1 year old and a baby expected soon.
🐕 Pets: 1 large dog. The family also keeps chickens.
🕒 Days & Hours: Live-in position Sunday to Thursday. The family follows a flexible daily routine, generally starting around breakfast time and finishing after dinner. Friday and Saturday would be days off. Some Fridays she would be needed occasionally to visit museums or do a hiking trip. Flexibility and willingness to adapt to family life are important.
📅 Start Date: As soon as we find the right person.
💼 Duties: The main role is to be an important source of support for the mother, who is currently pregnant with her third child, and to work alongside her in the children’s daily routine. The parents are very involved in raising and educating their children, so they are not looking for someone to take over completely, but rather for a warm, capable and proactive person who genuinely enjoys spending time with children and wants to become part of family life. Responsibilities include caring for the baby and the younger children when required, supervising the children while the mother is occupied, supporting their daily routines and creating age-appropriate activities, particularly for the 5-year-old. The eldest child is homeschooled, and the nanny will support the family during homeschooling periods by caring for the younger children, supervising independent play and spending time outdoors with the children. The family particularly values someone creative who naturally suggests activities, plays outside, walks around the garden, helps the children collect eggs or feed the chickens and encourages them to speak Spanish naturally throughout the day. The position also includes preparing simple family meals and snacks, helping to set and clear the table, keeping the kitchen organised and generally maintaining order in the areas used by the family. A cleaner comes to the property during the week, so deep cleaning and full household cleaning are not part of the nanny’s responsibilities. However, the nanny should naturally help maintain order and notice what needs doing without waiting to be asked. The family occasionally invites other families to stay in a separate house within the same complex, often families whose children are also homeschooled, giving the children opportunities to spend time, learn and play together. Sunday would be the only day that she would be alone with both kids for some hours.
✅ Requirements: Native-level Spanish is essential, as one of the family’s main objectives is for the children to develop a natural understanding of and confidence in Spanish through everyday interaction. Basic English would be very useful but would be a plus, not 100% required. Previous experience with babies and young children is essential, as well as confidence caring for several children at the same time. The family is looking for someone warm, sincere, positive, capable, proactive and family-oriented, who genuinely loves being around children and understands how to support a mother and family without needing constant instructions. The ideal candidate naturally sees what needs to be done, contributes to a positive atmosphere in the home and makes everyday family life easier. It is particularly important to find someone who wants a stable, long-term position and who will be happy becoming genuinely integrated into the family and involved in the children’s daily life and education. Driving licence would be VERY, VERY much apreciated. Preference for native Spanish speaking candidate. Documentation to work legally in Spain
💰 Salary: €2,000–€2,500 per month in 12 payments, depending on the candidate’s experience, skills and overall profile. The nanny will have her own private bedroom within the property.
