Household members

Family with four children aged 5, 9, 12 and 14. The mother is very present in the children's day-to-day lives and actively takes part in their routines, transport and organization.

As soon as possible. Urgent search. The selected couple will replace a couple who has been working with the family for approximately four years and is retiring, so the family is once again looking for a stable, long-term relationship.

Salary

€1,635 net per month per person in 12 payments + Social Security. Weekends worked will be paid separately at €150 per person per weekend, in addition to the usual salary. As this is a live-in position, accommodation and meals are included within the conditions of the post.

Days and hours

Monday to Friday, live-in. Occasional availability is required to work some weekends when necessary, always with approximately one week's notice and with additional remuneration.

Duties

• Both must work in a coordinated way and be capable of running the day-to-day of a home with considerable activity, supporting each other and understanding the priorities of each moment.
• He will mainly be in charge of the exterior and practical tasks of the home.
• He must hold a driving licence and be able to carry out chauffeur duties on an occasional basis, run errands and, when necessary, take or collect the children from school or some activity.
• He will also be in charge of the garden, so it is important that he has experience or knowledge of gardening.
• It will be very positively valued if he is a handyman with basic knowledge of maintenance and minor repairs.
• His responsibilities will also include exterior cleaning, window cleaning, care and cleaning of the vehicles, and table service when appropriate.
• In addition, he must be willing to support interior household work when necessary.
• She will mainly be in charge of the interior of the home: general and deep cleaning, laundry, very good ironing, household organization and home-style cooking for the family.
• Although the mother takes on a great deal of the childcare, both members of the couple must be accustomed to working in a household with children and feel comfortable with them.
• It will be important that they can occasionally support the children's routines, accompany them or help when the family dynamic requires it. The family is looking for two people who do not limit themselves strictly to "their" area of work, but who know how to work as a team with each other and with the family, supporting one another when necessary and helping to make the running of the home easier and smoother.
• During the summer, approximately from 7 August until early September, the family will need the couple to accompany them to their residence in the Catalan Pyrenees.
• Before that period, approximately between 20 July and 7 August, the couple may enjoy part of their holidays.
• During that time they may remain in the family home or travel, as they prefer.

Requirements

• Previous experience working together as a live-in couple in private homes, especially in families with children.
• They are looking for an autonomous, positive, stable, honest, responsible, discreet and trustworthy couple, with initiative and a genuine service-oriented attitude.
• It is especially important that they can run a home with ease, anticipate needs, organize themselves well and have an attitude geared towards helping and making family life easier.
• For him, a driving licence and experience or knowledge of gardening are essential.
• Maintenance skills, minor repairs and experience as a chauffeur will be very positively valued.
• For her, a very good standard of cleaning, laundry, ironing, organization and cooking is required.
• Both must have a good touch with children and be accustomed to working in busy family homes.
• Speaking Spanish is essential.
• Speaking English is not necessary.
• Verifiable good references and a valid work permit.
