Experienced Live-in Housekeeper for a private villa.

Household members

The owner spends a significant part of the year outside Spain. Her 20-year-old son lives at the property, although he is a student and also works, so he spends most of his time away from the house. Days & Hours: Live-in position. The preferred weekly rest period would begin on Saturday at approximately 11:00 am, with Sunday off and return to work on Monday. The working schedule will be organized in accordance with the applicable legal working hours, weekly rest, public holidays and annual leave.

Salary

From €1,800 to €2,000 gross per month in 12 payments, depending on experience, references and overall profile + Social Security. The candidate will have her own private room at the villa. In addition, she will receive a €150 monthly food allowance when the owner is not there. When the owner is staying at the property, meals will also be provided.

Duties

• The selected candidate will be responsible for the day-to-day care, organization and smooth running of the villa.
• Her main responsibilities will include general and deep cleaning, laundry, high-quality ironing, wardrobe and household organization, keeping all rooms and common areas in excellent condition, and making sure that the property is always well maintained and ready for the owner’s return.
• A particularly important part of the role will be looking after the villa independently while the owner is away.
• The housekeeper should be able to notice when something is not right, report or manage household issues appropriately, coordinate trusted professionals when necessary and ensure that the property remains secure, organized and properly cared for in the owner’s absence.
• The family already has a gardener, so the candidate will not be responsible for the garden or exterior maintenance.

Requirements

• The owner is looking for a mature, experienced housekeeper with a strong background working in private households, ideally someone who has remained with the same family for several years and can demonstrate a stable and consistent professional history.
• Honesty, reliability, discretion and responsibility are absolutely essential.
• The owner needs to feel completely comfortable leaving the villa in the candidate’s care for extended periods.
• She should be highly trustworthy, careful, organized, proactive and capable of managing the home independently with good judgement and a genuine sense of responsibility.
• Previous work experience will be reviewed carefully.
• Candidates should have a clear CV and excellent verifiable references from previous private employers.
• Before any final decision, the owner would like to review CVs and verified references, meet suitable candidates personally and arrange a short paid trial under the appropriate legal conditions.
• English-speaking candidates will be preferred, although candidates who communicate well in Spanish will also be welcome.
• The owner is specifically looking for someone interested in a stable, long-term position and in building a relationship based on mutual trust and respect.
