Live-in Housekeeper + Nanny.

Household

Family with two children aged 2.5 and 6.5. The children spend a few days each week with their father, so the intensity of the childcare side of the role varies depending on the family schedule.

Pets

No pets. Days & Hours: Live-in position with 1.5 days off per week. The working days do not necessarily need to follow a Monday-to-Friday schedule, and flexibility is important to adapt to the family’s weekly routine and the days the children are at home.

Salary

From €1,800 per month in 12 payments + Social Security, depending on experience, skills and overall profile. As this is a live-in position, accommodation in the family home will be provided.

Duties

• The selected candidate will have a combined housekeeping and childcare role and will be expected to take real responsibility for the day-to-day running of the home.
• On the housekeeping side, she will be responsible for general and deep cleaning, keeping all rooms and common areas tidy and well organized, making beds, maintaining bathrooms and kitchens, laundry, washing and caring for clothes, folding, wardrobe organization and very good ironing.
• The family is looking for someone who notices what needs to be done, keeps the home consistently clean and orderly, and can manage household tasks independently without constant supervision.
• Cooking is also an important part of the role.
• The candidate should be comfortable preparing good home-cooked meals for the family, organizing simple menus, keeping the kitchen clean and organized and helping ensure that meals are prepared efficiently as part of the daily routine.
• The role also includes childcare for the two children aged 2.5 and 6.5 when they are at home.
• The nanny should be able to support their daily routines, meals, dressing, play, bath time and general care.
• She should enjoy spending time with children, know how to engage them appropriately according to their ages and be able to create a warm, calm and positive environment.
• As the children spend part of the week with their father and go to school every day, the candidate should be able to adapt naturally between periods with more childcare responsibilities and periods in which the focus will be more heavily on the house.
• The family is looking for someone who can balance both sides of the role intelligently, understand priorities and help the whole home run smoothly, making everyday family life easier and more organized.

Requirements

• Previous experience working in private households is essential, together with solid experience caring for young children.
• The candidate should have strong housekeeping skills, be confident with cleaning, laundry, ironing and home cooking, and be able to manage these responsibilities with autonomy and good organization.
• The family is looking for someone responsible, warm, positive, hardworking, organized, discreet and highly trustworthy, with initiative and a practical attitude.
• She should have a genuine affinity with children, be patient and affectionate with them and integrate naturally into the family’s routine.
• The candidate can speak Spanish or English.
• A driving licence would be very positively valued, although it is not essential.
• Good verifiable references and valid authorization to work in Spain are required.
