Salary

€1,516 gross over 12 payments or €1,300 per month over 14 payments + independent accommodation + Social Security. The family provides an independent home located very close to the main house, within a small village. The selected person may live there alone, with their partner, or even with their children if they have any. However, please note that the job offer and salary are exclusively for one person, and the family will only hire one employee.

Duties

• General management and maintenance of a country house, combining household chores inside the home with the care and upkeep of the outdoor areas.
• The person will be responsible for cleaning and organising the house, laundry, clothes care, ironing and family cooking, as well as keeping the home properly organised.
• It is important that they can work in the garden and take care of its routine upkeep, as well as the care of plants and pots, help in the vegetable garden and other necessary outdoor tasks.
• They may also carry out practical tasks such as washing cars and small everyday maintenance jobs around the property.
• We are looking for a truly versatile person who enjoys this type of work, who can handle both inside and outside the house and who can organise their responsibilities independently.
• This is not a home with a particularly demanding pace, but the family places great importance on work being carried out with care, responsibility and a good standard of quality.

Requirements

• Previous experience in domestic service and the ability to carry out properly both the indoor work of a home and the routine care of a garden and other outdoor tasks typical of a country house.
• The person must be versatile, hardworking, responsible, organised, practical, resourceful and trustworthy, with initiative, autonomy and a willingness to help in different areas according to the property's needs.
• A driving licence and the ability to drive safely are essential, as this is a rural area where a car is necessary for getting around.
• Owning a vehicle is not required.
• Must speak Spanish correctly.
• Speaking Portuguese will be viewed positively.
• English can be an advantage but is not necessary for the position.
• It is important that you enjoy country life, feel comfortable with dogs and other animals, and want to settle in a stable, long-term position.
• Good references and a valid work permit.
