Private Chef for a family home.

Household

Family of 5 with two children aged 7 years and 18 months.

Pets

No pets. Days & Hours: Two days per week, initially Mondays and Thursdays, working for the full day needed to shop, organize ingredients and prepare the meals.

Start Date

As soon as possible. The family is looking to hire urgently.

Salary

€250–€275 net per day, depending on experience, cooking level and overall profile.

Duties

• The selected candidate will be responsible for planning and preparing the family’s dinners in advance.
• On each working day, she will prepare dinner for that same evening and also leave the dinners for the following two days ready.
• The chef will be expected to propose menus in advance and send them to the family for approval before each working day.
• She will also be responsible for purchasing fresh ingredients on the same day, selecting good-quality products, organizing the kitchen and leaving everything clean and tidy after cooking.
• The family is looking for high-quality home cooking that is varied, balanced and well presented.
• It is important that the candidate has good judgement, creativity and initiative when suggesting dishes, while also being able to adapt to the preferences and routines of a young family.

Requirements

• Proven experience working as a private chef in private households is essential.
• The family is specifically looking for someone with strong experience cooking in private homes rather than a background mainly based in restaurants.
• The ideal candidate should be an excellent cook, organized, professional, positive, pleasant, reliable and able to work independently.
• She should be comfortable managing the full process, from menu planning and grocery shopping to cooking and leaving the kitchen properly organized.
• Speaking English would be a plus but not indispensable.
• Good verifiable references and valid authorization to work in Spain are essential.
