👤 Job type: Live-in — childcare and household duties
📍 Location: Aravaca, Madrid
👫 Household members: Five. Two adults and three children aged 6, 5 and 1. In addition, a friend's 4-month-old baby comes to the house two mornings a week and would also be part of the role.
🐕 Pets: No pets.
🕒 Days and hours: Live-in position, Monday to Saturday. (Saturday leaving at 1pm)
📅 Start date: September
💼 Duties: The role centres on the children. Mornings begin with getting the two older ones ready for school and taking them there, then caring for the 1-year-old through the day — and, two mornings a week, the visiting 4-month-old baby as well. Afternoons mean the school collection and managing after-school routines and activities: homework, reading, play and time together. Spanish is spoken with the children throughout the day. Alongside this, preparing simple meals and snacks for them, looking after the children's laundry and keeping their bedrooms and play areas tidy. The household side covers general laundry, light housekeeping and keeping the house organised, plus help with the grocery shopping and basic errands. There is occasional evening childcare when the parents go out, and on occasion the parents travel for work, which means taking full charge of the children and the house for one or two nights.
✅ Requirements: Experience as a live-in nanny or nanny-housekeeper. Native or fluent in Spanish or in English. Ideally both languages, but no problem to have little Spanish or little English is the person is the right fit. Confidence with babies and toddlers — bottles, purées, nappies and nap routines — as well as with school-age children, their homework and their activities. Someone warm, energetic and genuinely at ease with a busy house of three young children. Organised and able to run the household side independently: laundry, tidying and keeping things in order without being asked. A driving licence is a strong plus, as the family would like help with school runs and activities; you do not need your own car. Comfortable taking sole responsibility for the children and the house for one or two nights when the parents are away. Available for occasional evening babysitting. Documentation in order to work in Spain.
💰 Salary: €1,800–2,000 gross per month, in 12 payments, depending on experience.
