Salary

From 1,600 € net per month in 12 payments + Social Security, with the possibility of increasing according to the candidate's experience, knowledge and skills. As this is a live-in position, accommodation and meals are included. When the family travels and the candidate takes on care of the dog during her days off or free periods, an additional compensation will be paid for this responsibility. Once the working relationship is established and trust exists on both sides, the family is also open to considering some flexibility so that, occasionally, the candidate may sleep some weekday night at her own home, always by mutual agreement and according to family needs.

Days and hours

Live-in arrangement, Monday to Saturday (finishing Saturday after preparing breakfast). With flexibility according to the family's usual needs to work some weekends, stay over some Saturday nights, or even travel with the family, all paid as an extra on top.

Duties

• The selected person will have a combined role of household management, childcare and support with the family's dog.
• They will be responsible for all usual domestic duties: general and deep cleaning, tidiness and organization of the home, laundry, clothing care and very good ironing.
• Cooking will also be an important part of the position.
• In this family, meals are prepared every day and they usually eat dinner together, so they are looking for someone who knows how to prepare good home-style and traditional cooking, varied and suitable for everyday family life.
• When the children return from school, and although they are already quite independent, the person must keep an eye on them and be a close, trusted presence.
• They are especially looking for someone with a very good touch with children, who is affectionate and can build a natural and lasting relationship with them.
• The dog is also an important part of the family.
• The candidate must genuinely enjoy dogs and feel comfortable taking care of their walks and needs when the owners are away from home.
• When the family travels, they value the candidate being able to look after the dog, either in the family home or even taking it to her own home if both parties agree.

Requirements

• Previous experience working as a live-in domestic worker in private homes, combining household duties with childcare.
• A good standard of cleaning, ironing, organization and home cooking is required, as well as experience and affinity with children of similar ages.
• It is essential that the person truly loves dogs and can take responsibility for the poodle when the family travels.
• The family is looking for a person who is stable, positive, affectionate, honest, responsible, discreet and trustworthy, with a good temperament and a genuine interest in staying for many years.
• It is especially important to the family that the person who joins feels at ease in the home and can build a close, stable relationship with the whole family.
• Their previous housekeeper worked with them for six years and is leaving the position due to a change in her personal circumstances, so they are once again looking for a long-term working relationship.
• The candidate may speak Spanish or English.
• Good verifiable references and a valid work permit.
