👤 Job type: Live-out, full-time — running the household, with the arrival of a baby at the heart of the role.
📍 Location: Eixample, Barcelona. The family is moving into a new apartment.
👫 Household members: Two adults, with a baby on the way.
🐕 Pets: Two dogs.
🕒 Days and hours: Monday to Saturday, starting at 8:30. The family has flexibility on the schedule.
📅 Start date: No rush — the family would rather take the time to find the right person.
💼 Duties: Full care of the home. Daily cooking for the household, planning simple, varied meals and keeping the fridge and pantry stocked, including the weekly grocery shopping. General cleaning and upkeep of the apartment, keeping it tidy and well organised day to day, together with the full laundry cycle — washing, ironing, folding and putting away. Care of the two dogs as part of the daily routine. The baby is the heart of this role. The family is looking for someone who will settle into the home before the birth, learn how the household works and be a genuine support once the baby arrives: preparing the home, keeping up with the extra laundry and cooking for a family that has just grown, taking care of the practical side so the parents can focus on their child, and helping with the baby whenever needed. As the household settles into its new rhythm, the role will grow with it.
✅ Requirements: Experience in domestic work in private households, with confident everyday cooking, a high standard of cleaning and the ability to run a home independently, anticipating what it needs rather than waiting to be asked. Experience with babies and newborns is highly valued, and so is a warm, calm and patient manner: the person who joins will be part of the household at a moment that matters, and the family wants someone they can trust completely with their child. Comfortable around dogs, as there are two in the household, and at ease in a home whose routines will change once the baby is born. A discreet, reliable person with a genuine interest in a long-term position with the family. Spanish and English are required. Valid work permit required.
💰 Salary: €2,000 gross per month, paid in 12 monthly instalments.
