🕒 Days and hours: Monday to Friday, from 10:00 to 18:00. The family has some flexibility on the schedule. On occasion, when the parents travel, the candidate would stay at the villa overnight to look after the child — these days are agreed in advance and paid separately.

💼 Duties: Cooking is the most important part of this role. Daily cooking for the family — varied, well-made home meals — along with keeping the kitchen and pantry organised and flagging what needs replacing. Alongside the cooking, full care of the home: cleaning and general upkeep of the villa, keeping every room tidy and well presented day to day, with deeper cleaning of the different areas on a rotating basis so the whole house stays in good order. The complete laundry cycle — washing, drying, ironing, folding and putting away — covering the family's everyday clothing and the household linen. Day to day the child is 11 and at school, so childcare is not part of the regular role; it only comes in during the occasional trips, when the candidate would be looking after him at the villa.
✅ Requirements: Strong cooking skills are essential — this is the family's first priority, and the candidate should be genuinely confident in the kitchen. Experience in domestic work in private households, ideally in larger properties, with a high standard of cleaning and confident ironing. Enough English to communicate comfortably with the family day to day; it does not need to be perfect, but she must be able to understand and be understood. Having your own transport is strongly preferred, as the house is in a residential area with limited public transport. Comfortable staying overnight at the villa and looking after an 11-year-old on the occasions when the family travels. Comfortable around dogs. We are looking for someone organised and methodical, able to plan her own week and keep a large home running without constant supervision, and to anticipate what the house needs rather than waiting to be asked. A responsible, discreet and trustworthy person. Valid work permit required and speaking English.
💰 Salary: €1,600 gross per month, paid in 12 monthly instalments, plus additional payment for the nights spent at the villa looking after the child when the family travels.
