💼 Duties: Care and constant supervision of the gentleman, who has mobility and eats independently, but presents short-term memory problems and childlike behaviour, requiring continuous companionship and considerable patience. Night-time support is essential: one of his medications causes frequent nighttime urination, so it will be necessary to wake him and accompany him to the bathroom to prevent accidents. For this reason, the carer will sleep in the same room as the gentleman to be able to monitor him closely.
Complete household management independently: cleaning, tidiness, general home organisation, preparing dinner, making shopping lists and managing day-to-day domestic matters. The gentleman attends a day centre from 8:30am to 5:15pm, so during that time the live-in carer will be able to look after the house and organise her schedule, with time to rest as well. The lady works outside the home all day and needs a resourceful person with initiative and teamwork skills who can make her life easier. The gentleman has a tracheotomy that is easy to manage; nursing qualifications are not required.
✅ Requirements: Very patient, calm, responsible person with initiative, who can work independently and not wait to be told each task. Good temperament, organisational skills and willingness to wake up frequently during the night, since the gentleman wakes very often (it is like caring for a baby) or needs to be woken so he does not have accidents in bed. Previous experience in caring for people with cognitive decline or dependency will be highly valued. Valid work permit required.
💰 Salary: €1,500 per month as base, with possibility of improvement according to profile and experience (higher salary, higher level of demand).
