👤 Position: Live-in Housekeeper / House Manager
📍 Location: Valldemossa, Mallorca (25 minutes from Palma)
👫 Household: Family of 4 (2 adults and 2 children aged 6 and 8)
🐕 Pets: 1 cat and 1 medium-sized dog (the dog only stays at the house occasionally)
🕒 Days & Hours: Live-in position, Monday to Friday, with a flexible schedule. The family is away for long periods during the year, allowing the successful candidate to accumulate extra days worked and enjoy longer breaks when the property is unoccupied. When the family is in residence, greater flexibility will be required to meet the needs of the household.
📅 Start Date: Immediate
💼 Duties: Overall management of a large private residence, including high-standard cleaning, organisation, laundry, ironing and maintaining the home in impeccable condition. The family is not in residence full-time, so the role also includes overseeing the property, receiving deliveries and packages, and ensuring everything is running smoothly while they are away. When the family is staying at the house, responsibilities include preparing guest rooms, making beds to a high standard, table service, and helping the home operate efficiently when entertaining family and guests (up to eight people). Cooking is appreciated but is not essential. Occasional babysitting may be required if the parents go out in the evening, although the children are independent. Additional cleaning support is provided whenever the family is in residence.
✅ Requirements: Previous experience in private households is essential. The family is looking for someone organised, proactive, trustworthy and highly detail-oriented, with excellent housekeeping standards and the ability to manage a home independently. Experience with table service is highly valued. A candidate who enjoys working with children will be preferred. A driving licence would be an advantage, as a car is available for the employee’s use, although it is not essential since there is a bus stop close to the property. The family welcomes candidates of any nationality. A valid work permit for Spain is required.
💰 Salary: €1,500 in 13 monthly payments, with the possibility of offering a higher salary for an exceptional candidate.
